How to upload a file to an FTP?

FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol. As the name suggests, FTP is used to transfer files between computers on a network, such as the Internet. You can use FTP to exchange files between computer accounts, to transfer files between an account (your webhosting) and a desktop computer.

Your webhosting service provider should have given you a FTP location (generally ftp://yourdomainanme.com or ftp.yourdomainanme.com) and username and password.

go to the above location and input your user name and password, then go to httpdocs folder (many cases), here you will find all the file of your website. Add/Replace/Delete as required by you.

You can also use Free FTP softwares for better control like -
File Zilla and Smart FTP client.
